Most roofing enquiries start the same way: water is getting in and nobody is sure whether the roof has failed or something simple has. We survey it before we quote, so you find out which it is before you commit to a budget. If a repair will genuinely see you through, we will tell you that, even though a replacement is the bigger job for us.

On industrial units we work on sheet and composite roofs, cladding, gutters and roof lights, and we can phase the work so the building keeps operating underneath. On flat roofs we cover single ply, felt, asphalt and liquid systems, and we specify the one that suits the deck and the detailing rather than the one we happen to prefer.

Because we are a principal contractor rather than a roofing-only firm, the follow-on work is not somebody else's problem. If opening the roof up reveals rotten decking, a failed parapet or steelwork needing attention, the same team handles it under the same programme.

Roofing is an easy place to oversell. If a patch repair is the right answer for now, we will say so and tell you roughly how long it buys you.

Roof work often uncovers structural or drainage problems. We are set up to deal with those in the same visit rather than sending you off to find another contractor.

Questions we get asked.

Can you just repair the leak rather than replace the whole roof?

Very often, yes. A lot of leaks come down to failed flashings, splits at details, blocked or corroded gutters, or cracked roof lights rather than the roof covering itself failing. We trace it first and quote the repair if the repair is genuinely the right answer.

Do we have to shut the building while you re-roof it?

Usually not. On industrial and warehouse roofs we work in bays and keep the areas underneath sheeted and protected, so you carry on operating. We will set out in the quote which areas are affected and when.

How quickly can you get to a roof leak?

Get in touch and we will get somebody out to look. For an active leak we prioritise making it safe and watertight first, then come back with a considered quote for the permanent fix.

What roof systems do you install?

Single ply membranes, built-up felt, mastic asphalt, liquid applied systems, and industrial sheet and composite roofing. Which one we recommend depends on the deck, the falls, the detailing and how long you need it to last, and we will explain the reasoning in the quote.

Can you sort the cladding and gutters at the same time?

Yes, and it is usually cheaper to do it together while the access is already up. Cut edge corrosion treatment, gutter lining, new rainwater goods and cladding repairs all sit in the same package.
