Most commercial glazing work happens in a building somebody is still trying to use. A cracked shop front on a Monday morning, a failed unit letting water into an office, a warehouse roof light that has finally gone. We survey it, make it safe the same visit where that is what is needed, and come back with a fixed price for the permanent repair.

For planned work we handle the whole envelope rather than just the glass. New uPVC or aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, overhead glazing, and the making good around them, because the frame, the flashing and the reveal are usually where the actual problem is. Being a multi-trade contractor is the point here: the same team that lifts the glass out can rebuild the opening, re-render the reveal and redecorate.

We work a lot on plate glass. Older commercial buildings are still full of it, and it is a genuine safety issue rather than a cosmetic one, so part of any survey is telling you where it is and what it would cost to put right.

Why bring us in for commercial & industrial glazing.

01

Occupied buildings are the normal case

Shops trading, offices staffed, warehouses running. Out-of-hours and phased working where the building cannot stop, and the site left clean each time we leave it.

02

The frame as well as the glass

We are a multi-trade contractor, not a glass-only outfit, so brickwork, render, flashings and decoration around the opening are handled by the same team on the same programme.

03

Free survey, fixed written quote

We come out, measure, and put a fixed price in writing. If the safe answer is a cheaper repair than the one you asked us to price, we will tell you that.

Questions we get asked.

Can you make a broken shop front safe today?

Usually, yes. Boarding up and making safe is a separate, quick visit and we will do that first so the building is secure, then price the permanent glazing properly rather than rushing a specification while you are under pressure.

Do you replace just the glass unit or the whole window?

Whichever is right. A blown double-glazed unit in a sound frame is a unit swap. If the frame has gone, replacing the glass alone buys you a year at best, and we will say so and price both options.

What is dangerous plate glass and why does it matter?

Older commercial buildings often still have annealed plate glass in doors and screens where modern regulations would require toughened or laminated safety glass. It breaks into large sharp pieces rather than crumbling. We flag it on survey and price replacing it, whether or not that is what you called us about.

Can you work at height on roof and overhead glazing?

Yes. Overhead and roof glazing is routine work for us and we bring the appropriate access equipment, with RAMS for the specific site rather than a generic method statement.

Do you cover our area?

We work across West, North, South and East Yorkshire from our yard in Stourton, Leeds, and travel further for planned programmes. Send a postcode and we will tell you straight away.
