Most leaks are not the roof covering failing. They are a split at a detail, a failed flashing, a cracked roof light, a corroded gutter or a blocked outlet backing water up under the sheets. That is why we trace the leak before we quote: a targeted repair to the actual cause often buys years, where a patch in the wrong place buys nothing.

Roof repairs usually happen in a building that is still working. We work in bays, sheet and protect the areas below, and plan access so the operation underneath carries on. For an active leak we make it safe and watertight first, then come back with a considered price for the permanent fix rather than rushing a specification while you are under pressure.

Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair is no longer worth it. When a roof is past saving we will say so, and our re-roofing work covers the whole job from there, as it did at Midland Road in Leeds, where we replaced an old profile-clad roof with insulated composite panels over a working warehouse.

How quickly can you get to a roof leak?

Get in touch and we will get somebody out to look. For an active leak we prioritise making it safe and watertight, then come back with a considered quote for the permanent repair.

Why does our roof still leak after it was repaired?

Usually because the repair was made where the water appeared inside rather than where it gets in. Water travels along sheets and purlins before it drips. We trace it back to the source before we repair anything.

Do we have to close the building for roof repairs?

Usually not. We work in sections and protect the areas below so the building can keep operating, and we will set out in the quote which areas are affected and when.

Do you cover our area?

We work from two offices, our head office at Hunslet in Leeds and a second in Manchester, and between them they cover a band straight across the country: the North West, all of Yorkshire and the Humber, and the north Midlands down to Stoke, Derby and Nottingham. That is our day-to-day patch and most of our work is in it. Beyond that we regularly work in the North East, Cumbria and the Central Belt, and down through the wider Midlands, East Anglia and the South East, and we have delivered projects as far as Bristol.
