Finishes are where a refurbishment is judged, so they are where we take the most care. On a warehouse in Normanton we shot blasted the floor and applied a two-part epoxy floor system as part of the refurbishment. In a fire-damaged school kitchen in Crofton we fire boarded and re-skimmed the room, then finished it with a new non-slip vinyl floor and redecoration.
Hygienic finishes are a specialism. For a Leeds brewery we installed around 120 square metres of hygienic wall cladding on new stud walls in a production and batching area, beaded and sealed to a waterproof surface. For another, we built a quality control laboratory with antimicrobial wall cladding, a new ceiling and vinyl flooring with coved skirting, so there are no corners for dirt to gather in.
Painting runs from full contract redecoration of an occupied office to external spray finishes on railings, shutters and metalwork. We protect the building, work around the people using it, and leave it clean.
Why bring us in for finishes & decoration.
Prepared properly
Finishes only last if the surface underneath is right, so preparation is part of the price, not a corner to cut.
Hygienic when it matters
Kitchens, labs and production areas finished to be sealed, washable and easy to keep clean.
Occupied buildings
Decoration phased around the people using the building, with the site left clean each day.
Questions we get asked.
Can you decorate while we stay in the building?
Yes. We phase the work room by room or floor by floor, and work out of hours where that suits you better, so the building keeps working throughout.
What is hygienic wall cladding for?
It gives a sealed, waterproof, washable surface for kitchens, food production, labs and clinical areas, where painted plaster would not stand up to cleaning. Every joint is beaded and sealed so there is nowhere for dirt or bacteria to collect.
Which floor finish suits a warehouse or workshop?
Usually a resin or epoxy system, because it is hard-wearing, seals the concrete and is easy to clean. On a warehouse in Normanton we shot blasted the floor first and applied a two-part epoxy system.
Do you cover our area?
We work from two offices, our head office at Hunslet in Leeds and a second in Manchester, and between them they cover a band straight across the country: the North West, all of Yorkshire and the Humber, and the north Midlands down to Stoke, Derby and Nottingham. That is our day-to-day patch and most of our work is in it. Beyond that we regularly work in the North East, Cumbria and the Central Belt, and down through the wider Midlands, East Anglia and the South East, and we have delivered projects as far as Bristol. Send us a postcode and we will tell you straight away.
