The brief.

This 6,200 sq ft building at Haigh Park went from a tired, dark shell to an operational distribution depot for DX. Envelope and interior were run in parallel rather than in sequence, which is the only way to hit a handover date on a building that needs both.
Externally, new wall cladding replaced a patched and mismatched elevation, and new roller shutter doors were installed to suit vehicle access. Internally, the office accommodation was rebuilt in blockwork and stud, decorated and lit, with new roof insulation installed above.
The finished building sits on the same steel frame it always did. Everything a driver, a customer or a member of staff actually sees is new.
