Most structural work starts with somebody wanting a bigger opening than the building currently allows. We work with the structural engineer on the design, install the temporary works, and get the steel in safely.
We handle the building control side as well, so the calculations, the inspections and the sign-off are coordinated rather than left to you to chase.
Why bring us in for structural alterations.
Temporary works taken seriously
Propping designed and installed properly before anything load bearing is touched.
Engineer and building control
We coordinate both, so design, inspection and sign-off line up with the programme.
Finished, not just structural
Once the steel is in, the making good, the fire protection and the finishes are the same team.
Questions we get asked.
Do we need a structural engineer?
For anything load bearing, yes, and we will either work with yours or bring one in. The calculations are what building control will want to see.
How long does a wall removal take?
It depends on the span and what is above it. The survey will tell you, and the quote will give you a programme rather than a vague estimate.
Jobs we have finished. Before, during and after.
