The brief.
Delivered asStructural Opening, Fire Exit Door, Steps & Handrail
The building needed a new fire exit where there had only ever been solid wall. We formed a new structural opening through the existing masonry, took the spoil off site, and supplied and installed a heavy duty structural lintel above the opening.
Our sister company Fox Industrial Doors supplied and installed the new steel fire exit door. Because the threshold sits above the yard, we built durable blockwork steps with paved treads down to ground level and fitted a robust galvanised tube handrail, then made good the brickwork around the opening inside and out so the secure steel door sits cleanly in the wall.
