The brief.
Delivered asCladding Alterations, Windows
A new tenant wanted natural daylight in the areas of the unit it planned to use as a laboratory and offices. We were asked to cut openings through the cladding to the perimeter walls and install new windows.
The cladding was a combination of 100mm and 40mm core composite panel. We marked out and cut the seven openings the client specified, added aluminium framework to each opening and inside the unit, forming extra purlins and columns where they were needed for support, and boarded the openings with plywood overnight to keep the building secure and dry. The windows went in with top openers where specified, finished Rosewood outside to match the existing windows and white inside, with exterior flashings coloured to match.
