The brief.

The client had a brick-built extension that read as exactly what it was: an addition, in a different material, attached to the side of a modern dealership. The brief was to make it look like it belonged there.
Z bars were fixed to the face of the existing brickwork and framed out around the structural openings, then single-skin corrugated-profile powder-coated cladding in RAL 7016 Anthracite was installed across the brick elevations. The cladding finishes approximately 150mm off the ground with a formed drip tray, and new pre-finished powder-coated cappings bridge the newly formed cavity and sit over the existing concrete coping to the flat roof.
We carried out the electrical facilitation works the cladding required at the same time, and upgraded the external security lighting to LED with the certification to go with it. A scissor lift was used throughout for safe and efficient access.
