The brief.

A well-known Leeds brewing company asked us to turn one of its office spaces into a contemporary clean laboratory, where it could quality test and develop its upcoming range of beers. The hygiene standard applied to everything: to the products our suppliers provided, and to our own fit and finish.
We stripped the room back completely, M&E included, and altered the walls to open the space up for a working lab. Antimicrobial wall cladding, a new ceiling grid and tiles, and vinyl flooring with coved skirting went in, so there are no corners for dirt to collect in. We designed and installed the laboratory itself in close conjunction with the client, and fitted all new M&E, including a new antimicrobial controlled air conditioning system.
