Project Brief
A long standing damp issue left this workers toilet in a poor and deteriorating state. We were tasked to resolve the underlying damp issue, and refurbish the toilets to ensure they would be presentable to customers and clients moving forwards.
Overview Of Works
- Damp Works:
- Replaced the flat roof with a new torch on felt solution. Installed a new PVC fascia to perimeter.
- Raked out and renewed mortar joints to brick elevation most affected by damp.
- Renewed low modulus sealants to all window surrounds to eliminate potential water ingress points.
- Hacked off all plaster and applied DryTek damp proofing system to damp affected walls.
- Refurbishment Works:
- Isolated and removed all electrics, radiators and sanitaryware.
- Removed all remaining contents including skirting, flooring and any wall hung items.
- Hacked off all plaster and applied DryTek damp proofing system to damp affected walls.
- Re-plastered damp affected walls and allowed appropriate drying time.
- Decorated ceilings, walls and timber elements.
- Laid new Altro Safety hardwearing vinyl to entirety of floor area.
- Installed new sanitaryware and radiators (with new pipework to suit).
- Installed new LED dome lighting with built in emergency lighting and PIR sensors to improve energy efficiency.
- Final sparkle clean undertaken alongside decoration touch ups.
