We were asked to provide an estimate to undertake external jet washing to a large commercial unit recently acquired by a new long term tenant.

The unit is a large distribution centre (which is just short of one mile long) around the perimeter and the tenant operates out of it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We submitted our quotation and subsequently gained approval. We agreed on a method of working with the client. The duration of the works lasted approximately 8 weeks.

Overview of Works

• External cleaning to 4 elevations of building.  External cleaning to include roller shutters and fire exit doors. In addition; cleaning to include 2 x detached security buildings.
• Cleaning to consist of application of general surface cleaner to building then rinse off with high pressurised cold water.
• Newly installed windows to be cleaned afterwards with pole fed purified water system.
• To undertake the works safely we worked on 3 different types of boom lifts. We ensured the boom lifts were cordoned off whilst in use with pedestrian barriers.

To one elevation which was grassed we used ground guards to protect the surface.
