Project Brief
We transformed an existing planter within a city centre car park into a functional external seating area. We delivered a high-quality finish tailored to the client’s vision.
Works included:
- Undertook an initial trial dig to determine the depth and condition of the existing planter slab.
- Excavated and removed all existing soil and vegetation.
- Reduced levels to 1000mm below the top of the existing dwarf perimeter wall.
- Supplied and installed a 150mm reinforced concrete slab, incorporating ACO drainage.
- Levelled all dwarf walls and formed a new entrance opening.
- Removed existing coping stones and installed new flat grey coping.
- Fabricated and installed a timber slatted fence with horizontal slats, including black base plates fixed to the perimeter wall.
- Designed and constructed a bespoke pergola.
- Supplied and installed a disabled-compliant access gate with integrated swipe card entry system.
- Installed new ceramic tiling to create a seamless, level transition between the car park and seating area.
- Installed ducting for electrical supply to support power requirements and festoon lighting within the seating area.
